Venue Information

Radcliffe has supported undergraduate theatre since 1884, when the Idler Club, an all-female theatrical group, was founded.  Radcliffe provides Agassiz Theatre, built in 1904, to undergraduates as a try-out house for plays which students select, direct, produce, perform and sometimes write.  Continuing Radcliffe's traditional interest in creative thinking and new ideas, Agassiz Theatre today involves 700 undergraduates annually in productions on its stage.  It is managed by the Office for the Arts at Harvard.
